Tracing Histories follows my respect for places where the past remains present—in architecture, abandoned and repurposed spaces, objects, surfaces and fragments often overlooked in conventional historical narratives.
From sites of colonial barbarism, war scars, abandoned railway tunnels to migrant camps, and former industrial sites and the backrooms of institutions, I look for traces left by people, labour, conflict and systems of power. I am less interested in reconstructing the past than in what survives in the present: rooms, windows, corridors, marks and absences that continue to carry memory in Mexico, Bosnia, Poland, Germany, UK,...
I want the viewer to approach these places not as static monuments, but as witnesses. as spaces where histories remain layered, contested, erased and sometimes hidden.
